MALIBU, California – The #16 Pepperdine men's tennis program begins West Coast Conference action with a trip to PCH Cup rival Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon.

SERIES HISTORY: Pepperdine holds a 27-3 advantage all-time against the Lions dating back to 1974. The Waves snapped a three-match losing streak to LMU with a 5-0 win in 2021. Pepperdine leads the series 4-1 in matches in Los Angeles.

SCOUTING THE WAVES: Pepperdine split two matches last week, defeating #10 Harvard 4-3 before falling to #15 Texas 5-2 – both matches in Malibu. Pepperdine carries an 11-match winning streak in conference play into the 2022 WCC campaign, as the last regular-season conference defeat came April 19, 2019, at San Francisco. SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS: The Lions snapped a two-match losing streak after most recently defeating DePaul on Tuesday. LMU has also collected wins this season over UC Davis, San Diego State and Utah State. In its lone WCC contest so far, the Lions fell 4-0 at San Diego on February 18. No LMU players are ranked in either singles or doubles.
