#19 Waves Take On Nebraska in Neutral-Site Contest

MALIBU, California – The #19 Pepperdine men's tennis program heads to La Jolla, Calif., this weekend for a dual match with Nebraska on Thursday. Over the weekend, the Waves will also compete in the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship in La Jolla.

SERIES HISTORY: This is the second meeting all-time between the Waves and Cornhuskers. In 2012, Pepperdine hosted Nebraska and won 7-0.

WAVES IN THE RANKINGS
As a team, Pepperdine is ranked 19th by the ITA computer ratings and #20 in the Tennis Channel/USTA college poll.
  
SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine had a productive weekend in its last two outings, defeating UCLA and #5 USC 4-1 and 4-2, respectively, on February 25 and 26. Corrado Summaria (Cosenza, Italy) and Eric Hadigian (Sacramento, Calif.) each won two matches on the weekend for Pepperdine. Four Waves appeared in the latest edition of the ITA singles rankings: #13 Daniel De Jonge (Vlissingen, Netherlands), #24 Andrew Rogers (Brentwood, Tenn.), #49 Pietro Fellin (Milan, Italy) and #111 Tim Zeitvogel (Baden-Baden, Germany).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Nebraska started the dual season 1-0 but has lost eight of 10 and five in a row to begin the season 3-8. Most recently, the Huskers competed at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., where they fell to Princeton, #25 Auburn and Alabama last weekend. Nebraska has no players ranked by the ITA, but Victor Moreno Lozano and Roni Hietaranta have been bright spots, accumulating records of 5-1 and 6-2, respectively.
