STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA – Although a day later than anticipated, the #18 Pepperdine men's tennis program collected its first road win of the season by taking down Oklahoma State, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
 
Snow and ice in the area pushed the contest from Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.
 
In doubles, Pepperdine (2-2) was in control throughout as #8 Daniel De Jonge (Vlissingen, Germany) and Eero Vasa (Turku, Finland) were the first winners of the day at the one spot, 6-4. Corrado Summaria (Cosenza, Italy) and #72 Tim Zeitvogel (Baden-Baden, Germany) clinched the doubles point for the Waves after a 6-3 win.
 
While holding a 1-0 lead, Pepperdine dropped court three in singles to knot the match up at one. Summaria and De Jonge quickly regained the lead for Pepperdine, as Summaria took down Joseph Chen in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, and De Jonge defeated Tyler Zink, 6-4, 6-4.
 
With Pepperdine holding a 3-1 lead, Oklahoma State (2-4) took court six in straight sets to make it 3-2. #24 Pietro Fellin (Milan, Italy) then won a three-set match over Alex Garcia, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the match for Pepperdine.
