RECAP

The Waves turned things around in singles, however, winning two of the first three courts to finish. 36th-ranked Broadus continued her doubles success in singles with a 6-2, 6-0 drumming of UCLA's Catanzarite on court six.
The last three courts to finish all went the Waves' way, seeing 10th-ranked Lisa Zaar clinch the match at 4-2 overall after a 7-6(2) first set tie-break and a 6-2 righting of her second set.
93rd-ranked Janice Tjen needed a little extra drama to her triple set thriller where all three sets ended in tiebreakers. Tjen defeated Wagle 7-6(3) in the first set but dropped the second in reversed fashion. The third set consisted of a 10-point tiebreaker in place of a full set, and Tjen ran out for a 5-2 lead and won at 10-7 for the final Pepperdine point of the afternoon.
