MALIBU, California – The #41 Pepperdine men's tennis program welcomes #47 UCLA and #5 USC to Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center this weekend. The Waves will also celebrate their alumni and honor former coach Allen Fox in a prematch ceremony on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

LAST MEETING: Pepperdine last battled UCLA in 2021, with the Bruins earning a 4-0 win. The Waves and Trojans met twice in 2021, as Pepperdine won the regular-season match in March, 4-3, before USC earned the win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in May with a 4-2 decision.

HONORING ALLEN FOX: Hear from head coach
Adam Schaechterle and former coach Richard Gallien on Saturday as we honor the winningest coach in Pepperdine tennis history, Allen Fox, who boasted an overall record of 368-108 (.773).
WAVES IN THE RANKINGS
As a team, Pepperdine is ranked #47 by the ITA computer ratings and #25 in the Tennis Channel/USTA college poll.
SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine last competed on Sunday, February 13 in a road match against Oregon, where the Ducks came out with a 4-3 win. Prior to that, the Waves hosted Arizona State on Friday, February 11 and defeated the Sun Devils 4-3.
Corrado Summaria (Cosenza, Italy) leads Pepperdine with a 3-1 record, while #91
Tim Zeitvogel (Baden-Baden, Germany) and
Eero Vasa (Turku, Finland) are close behind with 4-2 singles records.
Pietro Fellin (Milan, Italy) and
Andrew Rogers (Brentwood, Tenn.) pace Pepperdine in doubles with a 4-1 record.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
UCLA comes into Friday's contest with a 4-3 record, having defeated UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara in the last two contests. Alexander Hoogmartens is the only Bruin currently ranked, coming in as the #72 singles player in the country. USC, ranked fifth nationally, is 8-2 after three matches at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Seattle, Wash., last weekend. There, the Trojans fell to #10 Kentucky before defeating #15 Ole Miss and #8 Stanford. As a team, USC has a dual singles record of 36-11, and in the latest ITA rankings, the Trojans have three players ranked in singles, along with two doubles pairs: Stefan Dostanic (#4), Peter Makk (#46), Lodewijk Weststrate (#59), Dostanic/Bradley Frye (#3) and Dostanic/Samuel Rubell (#23).
