PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Tigers collected a few points out of the starting gate, pulling ahead by three points at the 9-6 mark, though the Waves were quick to counter and tie the score at 12's with multiple kills from Emma Ammerman and Grace Chillingworth.  Pepperdine then went on an 8-2 run with more smashes from Ammerman, an ace from Chillingworth and a dominant block from Meg Brown and Emily Hellmuth.  From there, the energy had shifted to the Waves' side of the court and a kill from Hellmuth followed by a Kenadie Patterson, Hellmuth block collaboration closed things up 25-16.

The opposition had the first advantage in the second set as well, building a 6-2 lead early on, but the Waves kept rolling, eventually tying the set at 13-apiece with more points on the offensive from Isabel Zelaya, Brown and Chillingworth.  Four more kills by the Waves, including an off-speed attack from K. Patterson improved the Waves lead to 20-16.  Though the Tigers had a late comeback attempt, a kill from Riley Patterson and a block from Ammerman and Hellmuth ended the set with a 25-23 win.

The third set was a different story from start to finish and the Waves entered with confidence up 2-0 in the match.  A strong serving presence from Chillingworth to open the set, including an ace, helped the squad to a 5-1 lead.  Pepperdine continued on to a solid 17-9 advantage down the stretch after back-to-back blocks from Brown with either Chillingworth or Zelaya and some choice attack outputs from Ammerman and K. Patterson.  Pacific once again tried to rally, but the Waves were steadfast, denying the Tigers attempts and finishing with a 25-20 set win to complete the sweep.
