MALIBU, California – Daniel De Jonge and Tim Zeitvogel of the Pepperdine men's tennis program reached the doubles final of the ITA Southwest Regional to cap off an impressive week for the program as the event ended on Monday.

De Jonge (Vlissingen, Netherlands) and Zeitovgel (Baden-Baden, Germany) were the #5 seed in the tournament and won four matches from Friday through Sunday to reach the finals, where the pair lost to the #2 doubles team in the country, Stefan Dostanic and Bradley Frye from USC, in a 6-7 (5), 7-5, [10-7] decision.

As finalists in the event, the pair punched a ticket to the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego from November 2-6.

#45 Zeitvogel also made noise in singles, advancing to the semifinals before falling to #23 Alexander Hoogmartens of UCLA in three sets on Sunday. Five of the six competing Waves won a first-round singles match and advanced to at least the round of 32. All three doubles pairs were in the round of 32 as well.
