Men's Tennis Ranked #22 in Preseason Coaches Poll

MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine men's tennis team begins the season ranked #22 in the country after the ITA preseason top 25 coaches' poll was revealed on Wednesday morning.

This is Pepperdine's fourth time ranked inside the preseason top 25 coaches poll since 2013. Last spring, the Waves came in at #21.

In the most recent edition of the ITA player rankings, Pepperdine saw six players represented in singles: senior Daniel De Jonge (#8), graduate student Andrew Rogers (#15), sophomore Pietro Fellin (#24), senior Tim Zeitvogel (#72), junior Eric Hadigian (#99) and senior Enrique Luque Rico (#101). The Waves were one of two teams in the country with six players receiving national recognition, with Tennessee being the other.

Pepperdine begins its season with a road test at #16 Stanford on Friday, January 21. The home opener is Sunday, January 23 against #15 Arizona. Both matches begin at 2:00 p.m. The Waves will compete in the ITA Kickoff Weekend on January 29-30, traveling to #9 USC along with Denver and #21 Harvard. The winner of the four-team tournament advances to the ITA DI National Men's Team Indoor Championship in Seattle, Washington, from February 18-21.
