MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team hosts its final dual competition of the season as the Waves welcome in Azusa Pacific for Senior Day.
Meet 10: Saturday (January 29) at
Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool in Malibu, Calif.: Pepperdine vs. Azusa Pacific at 10:00 a.m.
The meet will consist of both diving and swimming. After the diving portion, Pepperdine's seven seniors will be recognized.
The Waves were last in competition in San Diego on Friday and Saturday, January 21 and 22, for the WCC Cup with San Diego and Loyola Marymount. The highlight of the meet came on Friday as diver
Paulina Holmberg (Apple Valley, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) set the school record for the one-meter dive. Holmberg and
Lexie Martin (Keller, Texas/Keller HS) also qualified for NCAA Zones after weekend performances. The Waves won four events, as
Lindsay Hemming won the 500 free,
Olivia Kayye (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill HS) won the 1000 free and
Emily Morton (Golden, Colo./Lakewood HS) claimed first in the 400-yard IM and the 200 back.
Following Saturday's meet, Pepperdine will enjoy three weeks off before heading back to Dixie State University in St. George, Utah, for the PCSC Championships from February 16-19.
