Waves Complete Day Two of Knoxville Showdown

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – The Pepperdine men's tennis team finished up competition on the second day of the Knoxville Showdown on Sunday. The Waves competed against individuals from Kentucky for the duration of the day in both singles and doubles.

The day kicked off with the doubles' matchups. The duo of Andrew Rogers and #125 Tim Zeitvogel brought home the only doubles victory of the day after defeating Musitelli/LeBlanc 6-4.
 
In singles events, Corrado Summaria earned the first Waves win after defeating Kentucky's Sorbo in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. #117 Daniel De Jonge picked up his second singles win of the weekend, taking down Musitelli in straight sets as well, 7-6, 6-4. Rogers followed up his doubles win with a singles victory as well, earning a three-set win over Kentucky's Lapadat 4-6, 7-6, 6-4. The fourth Pepperdine singles victory came when Enrique Luque Rico beat Ravichander from Kentucky in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Pietro Fellin was the final winner in singles for the Waves after notching a straight set victory over UK's Chen, 6-1, 6-4.
 
 
The event concludes tomorrow as Pepperdine partakes in singles and doubles competitions with individuals from Columbia. First serve for the Waves tomorrow is at 6:00 a.m. PT.
