SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Members of both the Pepperdine men's and women's tennis programs advanced in the main draw at the ITA National Fall Championships on Thursday, as play opened at the Barnes Tennis Center.
Andrew Rogers (Brentwood, Tenn.) earned a three-set, comeback win over Franco Capalbo of Utah to punch his ticket to tomorrow's round of 16 match against top seed Clement Chidekh of Washington.
Lisa Zaar (Stockholm, Sweden) and
Victoria Flores (Fort Dodge, Iowa) continued their impressive fall as a doubles pair with an opening-round, three-set win over Somer Dalla-Bona and Sarka Richterova from Colorado State to advance to tomorrow's round of 16.
