TULSA, Oklahoma – Pepperdine's Daniel De Jonge continued his run of inspired tennis in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday, defeating #81 Raphael Lambling from South Carolina in the round of 64 to advance to Thursday's round of 32.
His singles record thus far in the fall improves to 10-1.
The Waves faced stiff competition in the first round of the main draw, taking on three ranked opponents, including two in the top 35 nationally -- #33 Juan Carlos Aguilar (Texas A&M) and #6 Johannus Monday (Tennessee). Tim Zeitvogel (Baden-Baden, Germany) won the first set against Monday before falling in three.
