SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's tennis program started off hot at the ITA Southwest Regional Championships held at the Barnes Tennis Center on Thursday, garnering 12 wins and sending all eight players to the round of 32.
The Waves only dropped two sets all day, with six wins coming against PAC-12 foes.
Three of Pepperdine's four doubles pairs had a bye to the round of 32, but the duo of Anastasia Iamachkine (Lima, Peru) and Nikki Redelijk (Windermere, Florida) earned their spot in the round with a win over Long Beach State's Arina Babkova and Zuzanna Szczepanska.
