Enrique Luque Rico of the Pepperdine men's tennis team made a spirited run at the UCSB Classic before falling in the championship of the Flight A singles bracket on Sunday.
Luque Rico (Cordoba, Spain) defeated opponents from San Francisco, Cal Poly and UCSB before falling to WCC foe James Watt from Saint Mary's.
Corrado Summaria (Cosenza, Italy) won two matches, including one over UCLA's Eric Hahn, before falling in three sets in the semifinal to Watt.
