Five Waves Named Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars

MALIBU, California – Five Pepperdine student-athletes have earned 2019-20 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar status, which was recently released by the publication Diverse Issues in Higher Education.

Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars are minority student-athletes with at least sophomore academic standing who exhibit athletics ability, academic excellence (a minimum 3.20 grade-point average) and community activism. More than 1,000 student-athletes were nominated from across the nation.
