MALIBU, Calif. – The 16th-ranked Pepperdine women's tennis team dominated a 4-0 win over UC Santa Barbara at Ralphs-Straus on Friday afternoon when #1 Ashley Lahey clinched a clean sweep for the Waves.
Pepperdine now stands at 7-4 this season, as the Gauchos fall to 5-7 overall.

The Waves took command of the match from start to finish today. Beginning with doubles, #55 Jessica Faillia and Anastasia Iamackine took home an easy 6-1 win over the Gaucho's Paterova and Goncharova. Ashley Lahey and Astrid Olsen finished off the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Lev-Ari and Sentenac.
Going into single up 1-0, the #16 Waves were quick to clinch the match. Starting with #35 Failla's win on court one over the Santa Barbara's Volodko, going 6-2, 6-2. The next big win came from freshman, Olsen who dominated her opponent, Valero with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
With just one point left for the win, #1 Lahey sealed the deal for the Waves on court one finishing off Lev-Ari with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
