Anastasia Iamachkine of the Pepperdine women's tennis team was named the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

th-ranked Iamachkine defeated the likes of #28 Valentina Ivanov of #45 Cal this weekend through a straight set effort, going 6-3, 6-2 on court three to clinch the match for the Waves, where the eventual final score was 5-0. The sophomore has won three matches in a row beginning in a 5-2 dual win at Oklahoma.
The #17 Waves now stand 5-3 on the season, with wins including a 4-2 beating of then-#11 Virginia and the most recent win over #45 Cal.
