MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's tennis team announced the signing of highly-touted Blue Chip recruit
Savannah Broadus on Sunday afternoon.
The native of Carrollton, Texas achieved arguably the biggest win of her young career in the 2019 Wimbledon junior doubles tournament alongside partner Abbey Forbes currently of UCLA fame. The pair defeated Kamilla Bartone and Oksana Selekhmeteva of Latvia and Russia, respectively, 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 for the gold.
Broadus' first championship came in the 2019 ITF Williamsburg as she partnered with Vanessa Ong to beat Elaine Chervinsky and Kylie Collins 6-3, 6-1 for the championship.
Most recently, Broadus won both the singles and doubles titles in the 2020 H-E-B Women's Open- a Dropshot series tournament.
