MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's tennis team added another member in Linus Carlsson Halldin on Friday morning, as the class of 2025 prospect signed his National Letter of Intent.
The native of Stockholm, Sweden has accrued a career-high International Tennis Federation juniors ranking of #125 after winning two singles titles as well as the U18 National doubles title.
"Linus is the kind of prospect that makes college coaching the best job in the world," head coach Adam Schaechterle said. "He is a humble, hardworking, and respectful student of the game. Of course, he has achieved impressive results and has serious potential, but what makes Linus special is his character. His parents prioritized character over skill and Linus has tremendous values as a result."
"We are thrilled he will continue his development in Malibu, and feel privileged that we get to coach him."
Halldin will join the Waves in the fall of 2021.
