The #6 Waves took no time in completing a 4-0 romping of UNLV on Saturday morning, beginning with doubles. At No. 2 doubles,
Anastasia Iamachkine and
Astrid Olsen struck first, defeating Connie Li and Samantha Li 6-2.
Lisa Zaar and
Daria Kuczer followed suit, clinching the doubles point 6-2 over Sam Smirth and Olivia Elliott.
In singles, it was the #50
Jessica Failla who accrued the first point for Pepperdine, going 6-1, 6-1 over En-Pei Huang on court two. The top-ranked
Ashley Lahey took a 6-0, 6-4 win over UNLV's court one Izumi Asano to give the Waves it's penultimate point at 3-0.
Freshman Zaar finished on court five where she defeated Sam Smirth 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the match for the Waves at 4-0.
