PULLMAN, Washington – The Pepperdine women's golf team completed two rounds of play on Monday at the WSU Cougar Cup and stands in a tie for 11th place.

The Waves shot a total of 590 (289-301) at the par-72 Palouse Ridge Golf Club in cold and windy conditions, with some rain at the end of the round.

PLAYER SCORES

Senior Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand), who won the season-opening Dick McGuire Invitational last week, is tied for 12th place with a 2-under 142 (68-74). Her first-round 4-under featured four birdies and zero bogeys and gave her a share of the lead. She managed three more birdies in the second round.
Freshman Reese Guzman (Kahului, Hawai'i/Maui HS) is tied for 42nd at 148 (71-77). She had three of her four birdies during her 1-under morning round.
Junior Megan Dennis (Bedfordshire, United Kingdom/Florida Tech) is tied for 53rd at 150 (77-73). Five of her six birdies came during the second round.
Sophomore Sifan He (Shanghai, China) is tied for 65th at 152 (75-77). She had three birdies in the first round and two in the second.
Freshman Alexa Melton (Covina, Calif./South Hills HS) is tied for 77th at 156 (75-81). She had two birdies in each round.
Playing as an individual, sophomore Kathrine Chan (Richmond, B.C., Canada) is tied for 42nd at 148 (76-72). She had four birdies on the day, all during her even-par second round.

UP NEXT

For Tuesday's third and final round, the Waves will be paired with BYU and New Mexico. The shotgun start begins at 7:45 a.m.
