MALIBU, Calif. " The Pepperdine men's tennis team won in dominant fashion against San Francisco on Friday afternoon at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center, defeating the Dons 4-0 in a West Coast Conference matchup. Lautaro Pane clinched the match on court four.
The Waves (7-15, 3-5 WCC) took advantage after winning the doubles point, refusing to let the Dons (6-17, 2-6 WCC) back into the match.

In doubles, Lautaro Pane and Dane Esses continued to dominate as the pair won their sixth match in WCC play, defeating Johan Joenhagen and Ryan Marker on court one, 6-1. Dennis Uspensky and Scotland Garapedian clinched the point on court five with a 6-3 victory over Paul Giraud and Marco Berretto. Max Mendelsohn and Brian Berdusco dropped their match on court three.
With the advantage of the doubles point, the Waves kept piling the wins on. Garapedian won on court six against Barretto, 6-4, 6-1 to put the Waves up 2-0. Berdusco quickly followed, defeating Marker 6-4, 6-2 on court three. Pane clinched his match and the overall match victory on court four with a dominating 6-3, 6-3 performance. Uspensky won his first set on one and was up 3-2 in the second against Mert Zincirli when the match was clinched. Esses fought back to win the second set after losing 1-6 in the first, before the match was clinched on four. Mendelsohn and Paul Giraud were tied at one set apiece when the match was clinched.

The Waves have the final home match of the season on Saturday, taking on Santa Clara at 2 p.m. Pepperdine will be honoring seniors Lautaro Pane and Pedro Iamachkine before the match.
