MALIBU, Calif. -- Senior Jessica Mosbaugh posted two excellent swims at the AT&T Winter National Championships on Dec. 4th and 5th, resulting in the Pepperdine swimmer taking home Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Swimmer of the Week.
This marks the second selection of the year for the native of Los Alamitos, Calif. The weekly honor is the fourth of the year for Pepperdine, as Joie Eckhard and Tori Occhipinti have also each been selected once.
Mosbaugh was the lone Wave to qualify for the prestigious AT&T Winter National Championships, where she raced against some of the fastest swimmers in the world. She competed in both the 100 meter breaststroke and the 200 meter breaststroke, narrowly missing the Olympic Trial qualifying times.
Mosbaugh is the current Pepperdine record holder in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, recording the fastest times in Pepperdine history in both events at the PCSC Conference Championships last February. She currently holds all five of the top times in Pepperdine history for both events.
The Waves have concluded competition for the fall semester and will be back in the pool at 12 p.m. on Jan. 6 to compete against LMU in a dual meet at the Burns Aquatics Center.
