TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

MALIBU, Calif. - Sophomore doubles duo Pedro Iamachkine (Lima, Peru/Nebraska HS) and Lautaro Pane (Puerto Madryn, Argentina/SEADEA) will play for the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championship title tomorrow (Monday) at Ralph-Straus Tennis Center.

After winning through five rounds of play, including a commanding 7-6 (5), 6-0 victory over UCLA's No. 4 seed Joseph Di Giulio and Karue Wiele Sell this Sunday morning, the Waves will advance to the regional championships tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. against No. 1 seed and nationally ranked No. 17 Jordan Angus and Filip Vittek of San Diego.

Freshman Gabriel Sidney (Curitiba, Parana, Brazil/Anglo Americano) fought his way to the semifinals of the consolation singles bracket, falling in a close match-up against Filip Vittek, 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 to bow out of the tournament.
