
Gulbe Added to Women's Tennis Roster

MALIBU, Calif. - Pepperdine women's tennis head coach Per Nilsson has announced the addition of Laura Gulbe to his roster. The Latvia native is set to join the Waves in January in time for the 2015 dual season.
Gulbe boasts extensive international experience and comes from a family of athletes. Her older brother, Ernests Gulbis, is a professional tennis player and currently ranked #13 in the world. Her grandfather was a professional basketball player who was a starting player for the European Championship-winning ASK Riga squad.
Pepperdine opens the dual season with the ITA Kick-Off Weekend on January 24-25 at USC. The Waves square off against Wichita State to begin the year and will face either USC or Denver the following day.
