Round 2 Results 
CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The Pepperdine men's golf team stands in ninth place at the San Diego Classic after Monday's first two rounds.
The Waves shot 303-298 for a total of 601 at the par-72 San Diego Country Club. The third and final round is on Tuesday.
Junior Jeremy Sanders (Chatsworth, Calif./New Community Jewish HS/Univ. of Redlands) is the top Wave on the leaderboard. He's tied for 13th place with a 2-over 146 (72-74). He had four birdies during his morning round and a team-high seven on the day.
Sophomore Kevin DeHuff (Coto de Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS) is tied for 27th place at 149 (77-72). His even-par second round consisted of two birdies and two bogeys. Freshman Frederick Wedel (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands HS) is tied for 41st at 152 (77-75), redshirt freshman Nick Thomas (Westlake Village, Calif./Chaminade College Prep/California) is tied for 58th at 154 (77-77) and freshman Cody McManus (Phoenix, Ariz./Desert Vista HS) is tied for 76th at 159 (80-79). Thomas had an eagle on the par-5 16th hole during his second round.
Playing as an individual, senior Johnny Mac Arthur (Newhall, Calif./Hart HS) had the best round of the day for Pepperdine with a 1-under 71 in the morning, which included two birdies and one bogey. He's tied for 27th at 149 (71-78). He recorded 27 pars on Monday, most in the tournament.
