LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Senior Tania Rice had a dominating victory at #6 singles, but the #40 Pepperdine women's tennis team lost 6-1 at #8 USC on Thursday.
Rice (Burlington, Ont., Canada) posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over USC's Lyla Entekhabi for her second consecutive straight-set victory of the season.
Unfortunately for the Waves, USC (5-0) won all three doubles matches and had straight-set wins at the other five singles positions.
Due to expected rain this weekend, the Waves' home opener has been pushed back a day. Pepperdine (1-3) will now face Rice on Sunday (Feb. 7) at noon at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
