Q: What was your experience like running the
A: “It was the most painful, yet rewarding experience of my life. The race was on cobblestone streets and by the end of it my ankles were killing me!”
Q: What is your best memory from the race?
A: “Finishing at the Colosseum. It was unbelievable.”
Q: What is the one area that has really impacted your education at Pepperdine?
A: “I would say the great experiences I’ve had with my professors. The classes are small and they really get to know you as individuals. My professors have definitely taken the time and interest to help me shape my career goals.”
Q: How has your athletic experience been a part of your life at Pepperdine?
A: “It was so nice being a freshman and having an instant group of friends on the cross country team. We spend so much time together that it’s hard not to get close.”
Q: How does training and competing impact your schedule?
A: “I feel like being part of an athletic team really forces you to manage your time better. When I’m out at practice it really helps me clear my head and focus. I use my long runs to think, focus and pray.”
Q: What kind of challenges does running present?
A: “It’s a definitely a challenge, but a different kind of challenge than studying. It’s more of a mental attitude where you challenge yourself.”
Q: Outside of studying and running, what do you do for fun?
A: I love going to the beach.
Q: What are your career goals?
A: “I want to be a magazine editor or a graphic designer. I’m also interested in advertising and layout and design.”
Q: What’s the one thing you’ll take with you when you graduate besides an excellent academic experience?
A: “Lifelong friends.”
Q: What are your long-term athletic goals?
A “To be able to run for the rest of my life.”
