Waves Wrap Up Road Schedule this Weekend

Pepperdine's women's volleyball team takes to the road for the final time of the 2004 season this weekend as it travels to Portland, Ore., and Spokane, Wash., for a pair of West Coast Conference (WCC) tilts. The Waves are a combined 65-5 all-time against the Pilots and `Zags and have not lost to either team since 1996.
Junior setter Melissa Mehlhorn leads Pepperdine with 15 double-doubles on the season, while averaging 12.20 assists- and 1.00 blocks-per-game. Senior libero Christina Hinds ranks 16th in the NCAA in digs-per-game and leads the WCC at 5.65 and needs just 72 more over the final four matches to become Pepperdine's all-time leader.
The Waves (8-13, 5-5 WCC) moved into a fourth-place tie in the conference last weekend with a 3-0 sweep over Loyola Marymount and have already topped both Portland and Gonzaga at Firestone Fieldhouse earlier this season, 3-1 and 3-0 respectively.
Pepperdine will wrap up is season next weekend against a pair of ranked opponents as #22 Santa Clara visits Malibu on Friday, while #19 San Diego will be in town for Senior Night on Saturday.
Both of this weekend's matches are slated for 7:00 (PT) first serves.
