Earned 1948 Little All-American honors and 1947 United Press Little All-Coast honorable mention ... Holds Pepperdine's single-play records for longest run from scrimmage (80 yards), punt return (72 yards) and kickoff return (95 yards), all set in 1948 ... The first four-sport letterman in school history, he also competed in track, basketball and baseball ... Graduated in 1950 with a degree in education/psychology.
