Attended from 1967-71 ... Came to Pepperdine on an Athletic Achievement grant to train for the Olympic track team ... The men's basketball coach at the time, Gary Colson, discovered her basketball talent, which led to a place on a touring team, the "All-American Redheads" ... Invited to the Women's Superstars competition as a result of a Sports Illustrated story on her abilities ... Played tennis and was undefeated on Pepperdine's first women's team her senior year ... Learned volleyball after her departure from school, and proceeded to play professionally for two seasons ... A co-founder of the Women's Basketball League ... Gained national recognition with two feature appearances against Jerry West and Oscar Robertson on CBS' "Battle of the Sexes" in 1975-76 ... Graduated in 1978 with a degree in business.
