Played one season (1975-76) ... Is known as one of Pepperdine's all-time greats despite playing just one season after transferring from Harbor Junior College in Los Angeles ... Was an All-WCC first team selection after averaging 15.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists ... His team won the WCC title and advanced to the NCAA West Regional semifinals ... Went on to become one of the finest guards in all of pro basketball and won three NBA championships ... Was selected by the Seattle Supersonics in the second round of the 1976 NBA Draft ... Played 14 years in the NBA with the Supersonics (1977-80), Phoenix Suns (1981-83) and Boston Celtics (1984-90) ... He was the MVP of the 1979 NBA Finals, a five-time All-Star, a two-time All-NBA selection and nine-time All-Defensive team selection ... The Celtics retired his #3 jersey ... He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
