In 1947, he earned an Associated Press honorable mention All-American honor that included all of the big schools ... Led the nation in scoring in 1947 with 115 points, and was third in 1946 with 100 points ... Holds Pepperdine's rushing records for career (1,577 yards) and season (564 yards) ... Scored 38 touchdowns in his career ... Starred on Pepperdine's inaugural team, the Will Rogers Bowl champions, and on the 1947 small-college national championship squad ... Also played baseball and was a Helms Foundation All-Star ... Spent more than 30 years working for the U.S. Secret Service ...
