Played one season (1981-82) ... Earned All-American honors and helped Pepperdine reach the national championship match ... Also made it to the championship match of the NCAA singles tournament ... Finished the year #6 in the singles rankings ... Posted a record of 32-10 in singles ... Transferred to Pepperdine from Foothill Junior College, and went professional after his junior year ... Won 20 top-level singles titles during his career and was ranked as high as #4 in the world ... Won a silver medal at the 1988 Olympics ... Later became a coach, helping the likes of Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick to Grand Slam titles.
